Evolution is the essence of Evolved Art. I am assuming that everyone is familiar with the general concepts of evolution, but not everyone is familiar with the application of evolution to the generation of programs. Genetic algorithms and genetic programming remain somewhat unknown even to most programmers, and their application continues to be within limited domains, but they are certain to grow in importance.
However, these pages will focus on the concept of evolution as it applies to its use in Evolved Art. These pages are not necessary for most users of Evolved Art, but for those interested in how things work internally, and for those who wish to garner the most from this app, these concepts will be helpful.
